Oy Vey!

I've been having some pain and swelling at the base of my right thumb.  So, my doctor sent me to an orthopedic group to figure out what is going on.

I spent about 2 1/2 hours there.  They took x-rays, built braces (yes, plural) and had 'visits' with the doctor, physician assistant, physical therapist/brace builder, and occupational therapist.  Are you getting the picture?  This was VERY thorough.  At the end, I have arthritis in my right thumb.

And my wallet will be $788.97 lighter.  I haven't reached my deductible of $2,500 yet.  Makes me a bit crazy.  My premiums annually are about $6,600 + $2,500 = $9.100 before the plan kicks in to pay anything.  Oh, before I forget - they negotiated the price down by $83.03.  What a great job!

Hmmmm I wonder if an affordable care health plan under the Feds would be cheaper? Not that u could check because the website is always down

So sign up for Obamacare, or officially retire and get Medicare plus the supplemental pay-the-difference policy. It's a LOT cheaper than what you have and it has NO deductible.

Reminds me of "You're Only Old Once!" by Dr. Seuss. ;-)
